The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 As they sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
