The 'Aad belied the sent ones. 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 127 “What! You build a structure on every height, to laugh at the passers-by?” 128 and erect castles hoping that you will live forever. 129 and when you strike you strike like tyrants? 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 Fear Him who has given you all the things you know. 132 He has given you abundance of cattle and children 133 "And Gardens and Springs. 134 Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day." 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers! 136 This is but a fable of the men of old, 137 And we are not going to be tormented. 138 And they belied him; so We destroyed them. Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
