The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
