Elucidated (Fussilat)
54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 This (Qur’an) is sent down from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand, 3 It contains glad news and warnings (for the people), but most of them have ignored it and do not listen. 4 And they say: our hearts are under veils from that whereunto thou callest us, and in our ears there is heaviness, and betwixt us and thee there is a curtain; work thou then, verily we are workers. 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
