۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 and said: “Who is better, our deities or he?” They said so only out of contentiousness. They are a disputatious people. 58 He ['Iesa (Jesus)] was not more than a slave. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father). 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path: 64 But the factions among them differed. Then woe unto those who do wrong from the doom of a painful day. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous 67
