Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
