Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
