O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubling and quadrupling (the sum lent). Observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful. 130 And beware of the Fire gotten ready for the infidels. 131 And pay heed unto God and the Apostle, so that you might be graced with mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord; and a Garden, the extensiveness of which is (as) the heavens and the earth, it is prepared for those who guard (against evil). 133 who spend in the way of Allah both in plenty and hardship, who restrain their anger, and forgive others. Allah loves such good-doers." 134 And those who, if they commit a shameful act or some wrong against themselves, remember God and seek forgiveness for their sins: For who can forgive except God? They should not be perverse about their doings, knowingly. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens beneath which rivers flow – abiding in it forever; what an excellent reward for the performers (of good deeds)! 136 [MANY] WAYS of life have passed away before your time. Go, then, about the earth and behold what happened in the end to those who gave the lie to the truth: 137 This is a plain exposition for men, and a guidance and admonition for the Godfearing. 138 And be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers. 139 If a wound has befallen you a similar wound has already befallen the people who are opposed to you. We make such movements to men in turn so that Allah might mark out those who are the true men of faith and select from among you those who do really bear witness (to the Truth): for Allah does not love the wrong-doers, 140 and makes men go through trials in order that He might purge the believers and blot out those who deny the Truth. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 And certainly you desired death before you met it, so indeed you have seen it and you look (at it) 143
