The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
