The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
