The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 and produce sparks 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
