Indeed We sent forth Noah to his people and he said: 'O my people! Serve Allah, you have no other god than Him Indeed I fear for you the chastisement of an awesome Day.' 59 The chiefs of his people said: verily we see thee in error manifest. 60 Said he, 'My people, there is no error in me; but I am a Messenger from the Lord of all Being.' 61 I bring to you the messages of my Lord, and give you sincere advice, for I know from God what you do not know. 62 "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" 63 But they belied him, so We saved him and those along with him in the ship, and We drowned those who belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). They were indeed a blind people. 64
