And when Moses said unto his servant: I will not give up until I reach the point where the two rivers meet, though I march on for ages. 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 So when they had passed further on (beyond that fixed place), Musa (Moses) said to his boy-servant: "Bring us our morning meal; truly, we have suffered much fatigue in this, our journey." 62 His companion replied, "Do you remember the rock on which we took rest? Satan made me forget to mention to you the story of the fish and how it miraculously made its way into the sea. 63 [Moses] said, "That is what we were seeking." So they returned, following their footprints. 64 And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge. 65 Moses said to him: 'May I follow you so that you can teach me of that you have learned of righteousness' 66 He replied, "You will not be able to bear with me patiently. 67 And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?" 68 He said: Allah willing, thou shalt find me patient and I shall not in aught gainsay thee. 69 Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof." 70
