SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
