The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
