Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
