And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders. 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see). 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. 21 And We let loose the winds to fertilize [plants] and We send down water from the skies and let you drink thereof: and it is not you who dispose of its source 22 And most surely We bring to life and cause to die and We are the heirs. 23 And indeed We know those among you who came forward and indeed We know those among you who remained behind. 24 And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
