Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 Then the Thamud were destroyed by an awesome upheaval; 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 which continued to strike them for seven nights and eight days so that eventually you could see the people lying dead like the hollow trunks of uprooted palm-trees. 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip. 10 [And] behold: when the waters [of Noah's flood] burst beyond all limits, it was We who caused you to be borne [to safety] in that floating ark, 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. 18 Then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." 20 Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 The fruits of which are near at hand: 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book 25 And knew not what my reckoning! 26 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 Seize him and fetter him, 30 Then cast him into the burning fire, 31 Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. 32 Indeed, he did not use to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 and did not feel any urge to feed the needy: 34 and so, no friend has here today, 35 nor any food save the filth 36 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). 37
