Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
