The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 When whither go ye? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
