The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 your God is One, 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
