Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
