The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
