Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
