Nay, by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
