Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
