In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this book is a guide for the pious; 2 Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, 3 who believe in the Book We have sent down to you (i.e. the Qur'an) and in the Books sent down before you, and firmly believe in the Hereafter. 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and ears, and veiled their eyes. For them is great deprivation. 7
