The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 and waters gushing, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 on raised couches. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For those on the right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
