O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 and believe in His messages 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
