And recite to them the news of Abraham. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They said, "We worship idols and will continue to cling to them." 71 (Abraham) asked: "Do they hear when you call them? 72 or can they benefit or harm you?" 73 They said, “In fact we found our forefathers doing likewise.” 74 He said, “Do you see these (the idols) whom you worship?” 75 Ye and your fathers of old? 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 Who created me and showed me the way, 78 And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. 79 and heals me when I am sick. 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 and He who will, I hope, forgive me my faults on the Day of the Judgement. 82 My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. 83 and grant me an honourable reputation among posterity, 84 Make me inherit the bountiful Paradise. 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 and when he alone will be saved who comes to God with a sound heart." 89 Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path; 90 "And to those straying in Evil, the Fire will be placed in full view; 91 they will be asked, "Where are those whom you worshipped 92 besides God? Can they help you or even help themselves?" 93 So they shall be thrown down into it, they and the erring ones, 94 And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together. 95 They shall say, as they dispute there one with another, 96 'By Allah, we were certainly in clear error, 97 when we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the Universe. 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 and we have no intercessors now, 100 nor any loving friend. 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 Verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. 103 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
