We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 50 and do not set up any deity with Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. 55 I created the jinn and humans for nothing else but that they may serve Me; 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 So verily unto those who do wrong there is a portion like unto the portion of their fellows; wherefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised. 60
