Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
