The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
