AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We! 48 And of everything created We two kinds; haply you will remember. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn your attention away from them; you shall incur no blame. 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 I have not created jinn and mankind except to serve Me. 56 I seek no sustenance from them, nor do I want them to feed Me -- 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 The wrongdoers will meet the same fate as their predecessors, let them not ask Me to hasten on [the punishment], 59 For, woe unto those who are bent on denying the truth - [woe] on the Day which they have been promised 60
