The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then he mustered 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
