The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 Those who when they take the measure from others, take it in full! 2 And who, when they measure unto them or weigh for them, diminish. 3 Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning), 4 on a great day 5 The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe? 6 NAY, VERILY, the record of the wicked is indeed [set down] in a mode inescapable! 7 What could let you know what the Sijjeen is! 8 A record of misdeeds written. 9 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 10 Those who deny the Day of Justice. 11 Yet none gives the lie to it except the transgressor immersed in sin; 12 When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore. 13 By no means! Aye! encrusted upon their hearts is that which they have been earning. 14 Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord. 15 Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 But how will you comprehend what 'Illiyun is? 19 a written record, 20 Which is witnessed by the close ones. 21 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 You can trace on their faces the joy of their bliss. 24 as they are given to drink of a wine sealed 25 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - 26 and whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. 30 and when they returned to their own people, they would speak of them jestingly; 31 and when they saw them, they said [scornfully], "These men have surely gone astray," 32 And withal, they have no call to watch over [the beliefs of] others... 33 But today the believers are laughing at the unbelievers; 34 as they (recline) upon their couches and gaze (around them). 35 Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do? 36
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
Click or tap on "random" to go to any random page. Click or tap the triangle to the left of "random" to go to a random page before the current page, or the triangle to the right to go to a random page after the current page. Using these features of ColorfulQuran.com, you can use the right triangle or arrowhead to skim through the entire Holy Book from the first Surah, The Key (Al-Fatihah), to the last, The People (An-Nas), in a few minutes while stopping at random pages in between. This will make your readings cluster more on Juz Amma's short surahs at the end of the Quran. You can also do the same in reverse order using the left triangle or arrowhead, which will cluster your readings more at the beginning of the Holy Quran.
