Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Abundance diverts you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
