The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sends the angels with the Spirit to carry His orders to whichever of His servants He wants so that they would warn people that He is the only God and that people must have fear of Him. 2 He created the heavens and the earth in truth; high be He exalted above that they associate With Him! 3 He created man of a sperm-drop; and, behold, he is a manifest adversary. 4 And the cattle! He hath created them. For you in them there is warmth and other profits and of them ye eat. 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 And they carry your loads to a land you could not have reached except with difficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful. 7 And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
