The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
