۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
