The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 They sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
