Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
