O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more conducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 59 ۞ If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease (evil desire for adultery, etc.), and those who spread false news among the people in AlMadinah, cease not, We shall certainly let you overpower them, then they will not be able to stay in it as your neighbours but a little while. 60 bereft of God's grace, they shall be seized wherever they may be found, and slain one and all. 61 God's wont with those who passed away before; and thou shall find no changing the wont of God. 62 People ask you regarding the Last Day; proclaim, “Its knowledge is only with Allah; and what do you know, the Last Day may really be near!” 63 Verily, God has rejected the deniers of the truth, and has readied for them a blazing fire, 64 Abiders therein they shall be forever, and they shall find neither a protecting friend nor a helper. 65 On the day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they say: Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed His messenger! 66 They shall say, 'Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and great ones, and they led us astray from the way. 67 Our Lord, give them chastisement twofold, and curse them with a mighty curse!' 68
