Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 and we glorify God". 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
