Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
