▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, by the Moon 32 by the retreating night, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Till death overcame us." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
