Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
