The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
