NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
