The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 to their promise, 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
